In the field of electric drive,the adjustable speed a.c.drive system is recently known as a matter of significance.Therefore,it is necescary to study the torque characteristics of induction motor driven by square-wave current,because some inverters and cycloconverters,such as current-source inverters and square-wave cycloconverters,supply the induction motor with square-wave current.By means of general theory of a.c.machines, in this paper,the characteristics of average torque and instantaneous tor- que are analyzed.Experiments have been made and its results and appropriate equations are presented. It is shown in this paper that,for the induction motor driven dy square- wave current,averagetorque is produced chiefl by the fundamental co- mpon ent of current.On the other hand,the average torque produced by thehigher order harmonics of current is relatively much smaller,and is generally negligible.But the higher order harmonics of current produce pulsating torque,part of which produced by fifth and seventh harmonic currcnt is very significant.Frequency of this pulsating torque is six times as high as that of the fundamental current.Pulsating torque deperds on the slip of induction motor.In the range of the slip from o to 1,the greater the slip,the smaller the pulsating torque will be.Therefore, Pulsating torque has very little effect on the starting of motor.

在电力传动领域中,流调速传动系统近来已得到人们的相当关注。有些逆变器和变频器(如电流型逆变器和矩形波交交变频器)向异步机提供的是矩形波电流,因此有必要研究由矩形波电流驱动的异步机的转矩特性。本文将利用流电机的统一理论分析这一问题;提出描述平均转矩特性和瞬时转矩特性的一般公式,同时给出实验结果。文中证明,对于由矩形波电流驱动的异步机,平均转矩主要由电流的基波成分所产生,而由高次谐波电流所产生的平均转矩则相对很小,一般可忽略不计。但高次谐波电流产生脉动转矩。其中由五次和七次谐波电流所产生的脉动转矩最为明显。这种脉动转矩的频率为基波电流频率的六倍。脉动转矩与异步机的转差率有关,当转差率在0~1范围内,转差率越大,脉动转矩则越小。因此脉动转矩对电动机起动影响很小。
