荔枝常因幼树花而不实而颗粒无收.糯米糍品种4年生幼树盛花期主干环剥,并保持不愈合至采果.对照树全年根、梢各有3个生长期,环剥树采前无根、梢生长;对照树有4次生理落果峰,环剥树第2、3落果峰不明显,采前落果峰也很低.研究认为荔枝幼树根系的“库”力在竞争中占优势,根与梢的生长相克又相促,果实在竞争中处于劣势,环剥完全抑制了根与梢的生长,使果实在“库”力的竞争中得以转弱为强.

Trunk spiral girdling done in early December improved flower formation, fruitsetting, crop yield and quality in Nuomici and Guiwei litchi young trees, which were tend to shy- or even non-bearing. Spiral and closed girdling both showed pronounced reducing effect on root and shoot growth during fruit development and the period of physiological drop, fruit drop, especially preharvest drop, was distinctly reduced by girdling. Adult trees of cvs. Nuomici showed no vigorous root and shoot growth as seen in young trees...

Trunk spiral girdling done in early December improved flower formation, fruitsetting, crop yield and quality in Nuomici and Guiwei litchi young trees, which were tend to shy- or even non-bearing. Spiral and closed girdling both showed pronounced reducing effect on root and shoot growth during fruit development and the period of physiological drop, fruit drop, especially preharvest drop, was distinctly reduced by girdling. Adult trees of cvs. Nuomici showed no vigorous root and shoot growth as seen in young trees of the same cultivar during the physiological fruit drop period. Young trees of cv. Huaizhi which tend to fruit normally showed similar patterns of root and shoot growth as seen in adult trees of cv. Nuomici. These pertain to varietal and age-related characteristics. The difference of spiral and closed girdling in healing pattern makes the former technically easier to master in practice and yield more stable results. Further investigations in the long-term effect and anatomical and physiological features of spiral girdling, however, are desirable.

‘糯米糍’和‘桂味’荔枝幼树不挂果现象相当普遍。采用螺旋环剥能显著促进成花、改善花质、减少落果、增加产量,改善品质。糯米糍、桂味幼树在生理落果期间出现旺盛的根梢生长峰,但其成年树和坐果比较正常的怀枝幼树都没有出现这种旺盛生长,表明了品种和树龄特性的差异。螺旋环剥明显减少生理落果期间的根与梢的生长量,使果实在与根、梢之间的库力竞争中获得优势,因而有利于坐果和果实生长。

以‘糯米糍’荔枝Litchi chinensisSonn.空中压条苗为试材,利用根箱栽培研究了周年内3株荔枝幼树根系形态、动态生长以及与地上部枝梢生长间的相互关系.结果表明:荔枝不同类型的根在形态上差异较大,侧根粗壮发达,生长周期长,可持续生长8~10周;须根纤细茂密,寿命只有2~3周.2株苗的根系周年内有2次大的生长峰和2次小的生长峰,根梢生长表现为交替生长.1株苗在周年内只有1次大的生长峰和4次小的生长峰,根梢生长表现为同步生长.3株幼树根梢比值均在1.0左右,表明地上和地下部等量生长.根系生长峰的出现主要表现为新根数量的增加而非原有根系的延长生长.
