In this paper the effect of substituent groups in the electronicabsorption spectra of aromatic homologous compounds has been studied.For the positional effect of substituent groups on the homologous chainas well as the aromatic ring, an empirical formula of wide applicabilityhas been suggested, and used to twelve series of phenyl polyeniccompounds, p—polyphenyl compounas, and furan polyenic compounds.By means of the extended homologous linear equations, the wavelengthsof the electronic absorption maximum of p - bands for more than threehundred compounds have been calculated. The results indicate that about70% of the total of the compounds shows deviation of ≤±5 mμ, andabout 26% with deviation of ±5 mμ to ± 10mμ. Only about 4% of thetotal shows deviation greater than ± 10mμ. It has been shown that a good linear relationship exists betweensystematically calculated substituent equivalent values Sj and the Hammettσ constants. This seems to indicate that the structural factors whichthey represent are in complete parallel. However, Sj is of much widerscope of application than the σ constant on the position effect of substituent groups.

Elasto-plastic responses to earthquke oi 1800 multi-story buildings are calculated frcm 24 accelerograms and distribution of ductility ratio of such buildings during earthquakes is given. Reliability of a structure is expressed in term of probability value not exceeding a given bound value of ductility ratio and a design method based on the reliability of structure is proposed. By this method, reliability of a structure can be computed when subjected to different intensities of earthquakes. If occurre rce probability of earthquakes of given intensity in a given period is given, the overall reliability of the structure can be obtained.At last, reliability of some of the existing buildings is evaluated by the results in this paper.

本文指出,目前抗震规范里规定的设计方法不能正确地估计结构抗震的可靠度。作者用24个地震记录计算了1800个多层建筑的弹塑性地震反应,给出了多层建筑在地震作用下延伸率的分布密度。文中用结构的延伸率不大于某一极限值的概率表示结构抗震的可靠度,提出了一个根据对结构抗震可靠度的要求设计抗震结构的方法。用此法进行设计,可以求出结构遇到不同强度地震时的可靠度。如果在某一时期某一强度地震发生的概率为已知,结构总的抗震可靠度即可求出。最后,用本文给出的结果对现有建筑的抗震可靠度作了估计。

A method used to indicate the stability against deep sliding in the foundation of gravity dam has been investigated in this paper. It has been found that the conventional method in which the safety factor is analysed either with the increasing load or with the decreasing friction coefficient, failed to agree with the actual situation. Furthermore, it has been evidenced by practical examples that the method will induce error seriously. Hence, the authors suggest to consider both the factors simultaneously, thus giving an equation expressed as K = KpKt.A "surplus resistance coefficient" Kr and its equation expressing the degree of safety for structure in consideration are also proposed. The coefficient Kr can be obtained by much more simplified computation. Finally, the tensile stress relaxation of rock and the accuracy of computation are also mentioned.

本文探讨了对重力坝深层抗滑稳定安全的表示方法,认为目前常用的、由仅仅加大荷载或仅仅降低摩擦系数来求安全系数的做法是不符合实际情况的,并用实例说明由此而引起的误差很大。作者建议同时考虑此二者,并提出了具体的表达式,即K=K_p·K_f。 文中还提出了一个用来表示结构安全程度的富裕系数K_r及其表达式,它可以借较少的计算就清楚地反映出结构物的安全程度。 对岩石拉应力松弛及计算精度的控制等问题,文中也提出了看法。
