This paper described the ulra-high frequency electro-optical crystal modulator to mode locked laser. When the power fed into the modulator is lass than 1w, the step-up voltage ratio of the network is about 50 at the modulation frequency of 100 MH_2 and 200 MH_2,but at the frequancy of 400MH_2 it is about 33.

Physical,chemical and mode-locking properties of pentamethylidyne dye for mode-locking in Nd~(3+) lasers are given.Several factors which affect the stability of the dye solution with 1,2-dichloroethane as solvent have been found.A method for increasing the stability of the dye solution is presented.Pentamethylidyne dye is proved to be a good and inexpensive dye for mode- locking as comparedwith undecamethylidyne.

This paper describes an ultra-high frequency electro-optic crystal modulator for laser mode-locking and other cases. Modulation depth of the modulator and- the design calculation of its match electronic circuit are discussed in particular, and experimental results at the modulation frequencies of 100 MHz, 200 MHz and 400 MHz, are given respectively. These results coincide with the theoretical expectations.

本文描述了用于激光器锁模等方面的超高频电光晶体调制器.着重讨论了该调制器的调制深度和匹配电路的设计计算,并就100兆周、200兆周和400兆周调制频率给出实验结果,这些结果与理论预期相一致.
