In this essay,the factors that currently affect the social stability and national unity of China's ethnic areas are analyzed.These factors are:relative economic and cultural backwardness in these ethnic areas;heavy burden on the farmers;incomplete implementation of ethnic area development policies,insideration for the interests of the ethnic people in establishing large scale works in these areas.To eliminate the factors responsible for social instability of the ethnic areas and to improve ethnic solidarity,it...

In this essay,the factors that currently affect the social stability and national unity of China's ethnic areas are analyzed.These factors are:relative economic and cultural backwardness in these ethnic areas;heavy burden on the farmers;incomplete implementation of ethnic area development policies,insideration for the interests of the ethnic people in establishing large scale works in these areas.To eliminate the factors responsible for social instability of the ethnic areas and to improve ethnic solidarity,it is pointed out that the fundamental issue is to step up the economic development in the ethnic areas including helping the poor project and to develop education there.Other important measures suggested are:to carry out education of Maxist national ideology and the nation's ethnic policies nationwide;to respect the customs and freedom of religious beliefs of the ethnic groups;to comprehensively effect the Law on Regional Autonomy of Ethnic Minorities;to enhance dyramic's of national legistration ;to safeguard the ethnic area people's rights and interests.

文章就当前影响我国民族地区社会稳定和民族团结的问题进行了探讨。作者认为,民族地区经济文化相对落后,与发达地区差距拉大,一些地区农民负担较重,国家发展民族地区的有关政策没有完全落实,国家在民族地区兴办的大型工程考虑民族地区利益不够,包括民族风俗习惯与宗教信仰自由在内的民族权益没有得到完全保障,这些因素影响着民族地区社会稳定和民族团结。要消除民族地区不稳定因素,促进民族团结,最根本的问题就是要加快民族地区的发展,包括大力进行扶贫,发展民族地区经济;采取各种措施,发展民族地区文化教育事业。此外,要对全国人民进行马克思主义民族观和民族政策教育,尊重少数民族风俗习惯与宗教信仰,全面落实民族区域自治法,加大民族立法的力度,保障民族地区人民群众的各项权益。

The course of Nationality Theories is one of the compulsory political theory courses in higher learning institutions in Xinjiang areas.It mainly aims at a systematic education of Marxist theories of nationalities and our party's policy towards nationalities for ethnic students on campus to raise their theoretical quality and policy levels as well as to train qualified personnel for ethnic regions.For this purpose,the Office on Nationality Theories has made great efforts to strengthen teaching of nationality theories mainly through classroom teaching,at the same time,combined teaching closely with important political events taking place in Xinjiang or in universities,and expanded the range of the second classroom with colorful cultural activities on campus.As a result,We have achieved not only desirable goals and actual effects,but also recognition and welcome from students of different ethnic minorities.
