OPTI system (Optimizing System of Network Data Model Structure) constructs for a data base designer a network data model which satisfys some requirements for a set of objective variables by employing a man-machine interactive and heuristic process with interactive successive refinement, and produces automatically the DDL and DMCL source programs, which describes the model. This set of tools includes: (1) input and edition, (2) the computation, analysis and evaluation of the performance of the logical and physical model, (3) the adjustment and modification of the model, (4) the doument management and output, (5) the creation of the schema. In this paper the author mainly describes the structured design methodology, optimization and the sketch of its realization. The real situation of the application of the system shows that the techniques presented here are highly officient, practical and remarkably succssful. This system makes it possible to reduce laborious work and time consumed, and to create a data base with high performance-cost ratio.

OPTI系统(Optimization System of Network Data Model structure)以人机交互的启发过程,经循环和逐步求精,为数据库设计者构造了满足一组目标变量的网络数据模型,且自动生成对模型描述的DDL和DMCL源程序.该套工具包括:(1)输入与编辑;(2)逻辑及物理模型性能计算、分析和评价;(3)模型调整和修改;(4)文挡管理和输出;(5)模式生成.本文着重介绍系统采用的结构设计方法、优化算法、性能评价和实现概貌.实践表明,本文提出的方法有效且实用,在应用系统开发中取得较明显效果,它能减轻设计者的烦琐劳动,缩短开发周期,并能创建具有较高性能/价格比的数据库.

The software and hardware problems,encountered in using PC as a hod computer in the development of application systems,are investigated,the interface between application systems and PC is heavily introduced,and the firmware problem of operating systems and its solution are also discussed.
