This study was undertaken to explore the relationship between plasma K+, H+ and muscle fatigue as well as electromyogram changes. Fourteen male students performed two exercise tests of different intensity (respectively 200 watts and 120 watts)to fatigue on a cycle ergometer. The plasma K+, pH and EMG of active and inactive muscles during 10 sec. isometric contraction with fixed load were measured before exercise and at 0, 5, 10, 20 minutes after exercise. Both plasma K+ and MPF of the active muscles changed significantly (p<0. 001) after exercise,but recovered in 20 minutes and were highly negatively interrelated. Plasma PH at 20 minutes after 200 watts exercise was significantly lower than at rest, but did not change after 120 watts exercise, and no interrelation was found between pH and EMG. IEMG of inactive muscles at 20 minutes after 120 watts exercise was significantly iower than at rest (p<0. 05). The results showed that high extracellular K+ concentration was one main factor inducing fatigue and MPF decrease of active muscles, but H+ was not a main factor for fatigue and of no direct effect on EMG.

Endurance exercise per formances are restricted not only by the O2 uptake of the lungs and the delivery of O2 in the cardiovascular system,but also by some factors of the exercising muscles themselves. Recently,some studies also indicated that there was no significant relationship between Vo2 max and endurance exercise performances. Instead,there was a close correlation betwen the peak speed on the treadmill and anaerobic threshold and endurance exercise performances. That may be used as the index for estimating endurance exercise performances.

Objective The aim of this paper is to raise a new nomenclature of atrial arrhythmia-the myocardial sleeve (MS) mediated atrial tachyarrhythmia.Method The clinical,electrocardiographic and electrophysiologic features of thirty-eight patients with atrial arrhythmias were investigated and analyzed.Results These arrhythmias included atrial premature contrction,atrial tachycardia,atrial flutter,atrial fibrillation and so on.More than two kinds of these arrhythmias appeared in a single patient.These atrial arrhythmias were originated from myocardial sleeves of pulmonary and caval veins,and called as MS mediated tachyarrhythmia.According to ECG features,MS mediated atrial tachyarrhythmia included MS mediated atrial premature contraction,atrial tachycardia, atrial flutter,atrial fibrillation and chaos atrial rhythm.Depending on the relationship between the electric activities of MS and atira,they were further divided into triggered tachyarrhythmia or drived tachyarrhythmia,and 1∶1 drived tachyarrhythmia or non-1∶1 drived tachyarrhythmia.MS in superior vena cava and pulmonary veins can give rise to a single pulse or continuous,organized or disorganized impulses,trigger or drive atria to produce various atrial arrhythmias.Conclusion This kind of arrhythmia has specific clinical,electrocardiographic and electrophysiologic features.A new nomenclature might have significance on clinical practice,cardiac electrophysiology,and electrocardiography.
