The relationship between workpiece ground surface colour and grinding temperature in contact zone has been established under strictly controlled experimental conditions. A profound study has been made on the workpiece ground surface and corresponding grinding wheel appearances with different shades (normal, light yellow, brown, purple brown and purple black) during creep feed grinding of nikel base cast high temperature alloy K417 by means of SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and EPA (Electron Probe Analysis)....

The relationship between workpiece ground surface colour and grinding temperature in contact zone has been established under strictly controlled experimental conditions. A profound study has been made on the workpiece ground surface and corresponding grinding wheel appearances with different shades (normal, light yellow, brown, purple brown and purple black) during creep feed grinding of nikel base cast high temperature alloy K417 by means of SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and EPA (Electron Probe Analysis). Then the characteristics and formation mechanisms of burnt workpiece ground surface during creep feed grinding of alloy K417 have been revealed. The experimental results show that there exists adheshion between grinding grains and workpiece and that daubed material appears on the workpiece ground surface while burnt color appears on the workpiece ground surface. The deeper the surface colour, the more the daubed material. Further more, micro cracks may appear on .the purple black ground surface.

本文在严格控制的实验条件下,建立了磨削弧区温度同试件表面烧伤色之间的对应关系;并以扫描电镜(SEM)、电子探针(EPA)等较为先进的测试仪器为手段详细研究了K417镍基铸造高温合金缓进磨削中表面为正常、淡黄、黄褐、紫褐以及紫黑等深浅不同的色斑时诸试件表面形貌特征和对应的砂轮表面形貌特征,揭示了K417材料缓磨中表面形貌的变化特征及其形成机理。测试结果表明,K417材料缓磨表面出现烧伤色斑时,磨粒与试件材料之间存在粘结现象;试件表面出现粘结滞留的涂覆物。随表面烧伤色层次的加深,磨粒与试件材料之间的粘结越普遍、越严重,试件表面涂覆程度亦越强烈。当出现紫黑色斑时,表面还伴有微裂纹出现。

On the basis of measuring temperature in grinding arc-zone, a study on the compositionsand structures of oxide films on both normal creep feed grinding and different burnt colour bymeans of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. 以金相显微分析为主,结合磨削温度、磨削力的测量等基本实验方法,揭示GH4169材料磨削烧伤机理。研究表明,磨削弧区最高平均温度是引起磨削烧伤的直接因素,它与工件表面烧伤色斑、表面形貌特征、表层金相组织以及表层显微硬度分布之间具有确定的对应关系。磨削力比Fn/Ft可作为过程特征参量,进行磨削烧伤在线监测和预报,以控制磨削烧伤。
