In this pot experiment,Peganum multisectum Bobr seedlings were treated with Hoagland solution added with 0～400 mmol·L-1 NaCl and iso-osmotic PEG-6000 solutions(iso-osmotic 200 mmol·L-1NaCl),and the content of main organic solutes,inorganic ions,osmotic potential,osmotic adjustment ability and the activities of SOD,POD and CAT of leaf were determined 15 d after treatment.
Physiological effects of NH-4-N concentrations (0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 mg/L) on Hydrilla verticillata cultured in media were investigated at laboratory conditions. The biomass, chlorophyll contents, soluble sugar contents, protein contents, as well as the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD) and (GS) of Hydrilla verticillata were analyzed.
The reduced glutathione (GSH) and ascorbic acid (ASC) contents and the superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POD) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) activities in seedling’s roots and leaves also increased, but the generation of O-·2 and the accumulation of malondialdehyde (MDA) and H2O2 decreased.
Treatment of nickel at 100 μmol/L caused dramatically reduction in seedling growth,decrease in chlorophyll levels and increase in MDA levels,and the increase in the activities of anti-oxidant enzymes,superoxide dismutase(SOD),guaiacol peroxidase(POD),and glutathione S-transferase(GST)in leaves.
RESULTS:BA could reverse the GM induced low activities of T SOD (from 46.50 to 27.86 NU/mL,P< 0.01) and GSH PX(from 83.77 to 42.34 U,P< 0.01) ,and limited the GM induced high content of MDA(from 11.87 to 17.03 μmol/L,P< 0.01) in SGC.
The activities of blood GSH Px in quenching,welding and sealing groups were (71.42±26.52)NU/ml,(70.77±20.12)NU/ml and (71.67 ±18.87)NU/ml respectively,significantly lower than that in the control[(97.02±21.76)NU/ml, P <0.05 or P <0.01].
The results indicated that the enzyme activities of manganese-dependent peroxidases(MnPs),lignin peroxidases(LiPs), laccases(Lacs),and hemicellulases(Hcels)were the highest in Pleurotus sp.2 growing on low-nitrogen, high-carbon and high inorganic salt medium. MnPs produced by Pleurotus sp.2 reached the peak in six days.
Variations in malondiadehycle(MDA) contents,enzymatic activities and isozymatic patterns of superoxide dismutases(SOD),peroxidases(POD) and catalases(CAT) of leaves at four-leaf stages were studied by treating Vicia faba L.with 3.50 mW/mm~2 He-Ne laser at different stages.
SOD and POD activities declined correspondingly, followed by significant increases of MDA and MP, and leaf injury was finally observed.
Salt-induced declines of SOD and POD activities might accelerate lipid peroxide and consequently resulted in ion leakage.
