Presently, school physical education is inflenced by only keeping eyes on intelligence training but nelecting physical training in order to achieve high entrance rate. For a long time past,as a result of contradictoriness and vagueness in understanding the concepts of intelligence and personality on the part of psychologists,similar features have been existent in the researches in the relationship between the development of intelligence and that of personality.On the one hand,some researches hold that the development of both the aspects is characterized by homogeneity,and on the other hand,some hold that between the two is there no simplistic homologous relation.Recently,there has come into being a two pyramid theory of the developments of intelligence and personality in a good combination,which assumes that the development of personality and that of general factors in intelligence go hand in hand,the development of intelligence determines the level of the development of personality,and the traits of an individuals personality is decided by the level of the development of general factors in intelligence.This theory constitutes a challenge to the traditional view which takes intelligence and personality as two different psychological phenomena and to the view which regards some factors in personality as forming an internal driving force to the development of intelligence,and it gives us a good deal of enlightenment.
