The effect of enhancing of yield stress in corners of the cross—section due to coldworking and the behariour of smooth transition of stress—strain curves from elastic to plastic range on collapse load of box sections is taken into account in post—buckling range. A test programme of compressive box sections was carried out and the comparison of experimental with theoretical results shows a good agreement.

This paper reports a large-deflection elastic-plastic analysis of plates subjected to in-plane loads under a prescribed displacement eccentricity and a prescribed load eccentricity, respectively. A finite strip analysis for the material and geometric nonlinearities is developed as an efficient analytic tool in nonlinear buckling analysis of plates or plate assemblies. Initial imperfections of the plate including the initial deflections and the residual stresses due to welding are taken into consideration. Numerical results show that the present finite strip analysis not only considerably saves computing time but also has a good accuracy.

通过理论分析和试验实测得出梁端局任应力分布及其合力作用点的位置,由此可以确定由梁端传给墙体荷载的偏心距。当无上部荷载时,砌体在局压破坏阶段的接触应力合力作用点距墙外边缘的距离为ac/3,这一结论已被新的砌体结构设计规范所采用。
