In 3D render technique of medical images, single pixel edges are needed. In order to meet this need, a method of edge detection, which is based on Mallat wavelet model maximum edge detection algorithm and fuzzy algorithm, is proposed. Membership functions are designed and suitable model maximums are picked out, then single pixel edge can be detected. The experimental results show that the algorithm is feasible.
