When the duplex gear of the coal mining machine is dealed with the vacuum ion carbonitriding technology,the oxygenation and decarburization of the tooth face can be avoided,the deformation will be reduced,and it can come up the technic requirements of duplex gear.
This paper introduces the multipurpose furnace with technological specificity of low vacuum thermochemical treatment. It discusses the experimental results about low vacuum pulse carbonitriding. The results show that thin and high hardness layer is obtained and hardening depth is 0. 1 ~ 0. 3mm and hardness is over 58HRC,in the range of 750~840℃.
The relation between microstructure, mechanical property and contact fatigue life of new low alloy-extra high strength steel with austenite-bainite dual-phase structure is investigated. It is shown that contact fatigue life of A-B steel (HRC50~52) is 2~4 times of 20CrMnTi or SCM 420H steel (HRC58~62) by carbonitriding treatment.
