The serum concentration was found to be high on D_4 (65.68 pg/ml, p< 0.05), and remarkably decreased to 38.65 pg/ml on D_5 (p<0.05). The titre was increased again on D_6 (49.84 pg/ml).The uterine concentration of the oestrogen raised to a peak on D_3 (235.14 pg/g of wet tissue), and decreased to a much lower level on D_5 (147 pg/g of wet tissue, p<0.05).The concentration of oestradiol receptors in rat uterine cytosol and nuclei was also measured during D_1 to D_7. The highest value of cytosol receptor (0. 576 pmole/mg of protein) was obtained on D_4 (calculation based on per unit of protein). After an unsignificant decrease on D_5 (0.455 pmole/mg of protein), it increased again on D_6. However, if the calculation was based on per unit DNA, the peak value was not found on D_4 but on D_6.The amount of nuclear receptor complex was high on D_4 (697 E_2 molecules/cell) and D_6 (607 E_2 molecules/cell), and fell on D_5 (p<0.05, 352 E_2 molecules/cell).The results presented here indicate that the concentrations Of both oestradiol and its nuclear receptor show a peak On D_4. It is suggested that the increased oestrogen and its receptor of the uterus may be a prerequisite for implantation. The levels of oestrogen and its receptors in a majority of cases decreased significantly on D_5, the fact leads us to suggest that the oestrogen is presumably no longer necessary after having a priming effect for the uterus on D_4, It is possible that uterus may need a quiescent condition for the blastocysts to implant and develop.

Serum levels of estradiol(E_2), testosterone(T), follicle stimulating hormone(FSH), luteinizing hormone(LH), and prolactin(PRL) were determined pre-and postoperatively by radioimmunoassay in 12 patients with endometrial carcinoma 2 yrs after menopause. The two control groups consisted of 12 eases with gynecologic tumors other than endo metrial carcinoma, and 8 gynecologic patients without tumor. Serum levels of these 5 hormones in the patients with endometrial carcinoma were not significantly different from the control groups. The concentration of E_2, FSH and LH in both study and control groups showed no changes after hysterosalpingo-oophorectomy. The levels of PRL in the patients with endometrial carcinoma and 12 patients of control group became higher after operation. However, the T level of the patients with endometrial carcinoma was lower than before operation. The results obtained are discussed.

Eight Jiangxi Gaoan cows were allotted to four treatment groups to determine theeffectiveness of an estrous,synchronizati on treatment involving an ear implantcontaining 30mg of Norgestrel(17~α—acetoxy—17β—hydroxy—19 non—preg—4—ene-3-one)for 9 days and an injection of 4mg of estradiol benzoate at the timeof implantation Four groups were treated on day 3(Ⅰ),8(Ⅱ),13(Ⅲ)and 18(Ⅳ)respectively(dayo=day of estrus)。Every cow received 1,500IU PMS(pregnant mare serum)at the time of implant removal。Blood sampleswere collected at 8:00—9:00 AM.daily or every two days by jugular venipun-cture.The alteration of concentrations of progesterone(P),estradiol(E_2)and LH during the normal estrous cycles and pre-and postsynchronous cycleswere determined by radioimmunoassay or radioreceptorassay。Serum estradiollevels had increased about10—fold more in Norgestrel treatment period than innormal estrous cycles in cows of all four groups(Group Ⅰ,Ⅲ、Ⅳ:P<0.01;GrouPⅡ:P<0.05)。After Norgestrel was administed P levels of all cows werelower than in their normal estrous cycles,however the differences were notsignificant in three groups(Group Ⅰ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ:P>0.05;GroupⅡ:P<0.01)。Concentrations of LH showed no significant differences between in Norgestreltreatment period and in normal estrous cycles too.Very high synchronized estrus:and conception rate was obtained in the cows which received treatment before day13。Synchronization of estrus and conception rate was not satisfactory in the cows:which recived treatment after day 18。Seventy five percent of the treated cows:were in synchronized estrus within 72—hr period and the 1st (?)service conceptionrate was 62.5%。The causes of low conception rate and the improvements in treat-method were discussed.

为检定18甲基炔诺酮(18甲)的同期发情效果,将8头江西高安母黄牛分成四组,分别在发情后第3(Ⅰ组)、8(Ⅱ组)、13(Ⅲ组)和18(Ⅳ组)天耳背埋植30mg/头18甲,埋植当天肌注4mg/头苯甲酸雌二醇(OB)。埋植处理9天后,撤出18甲并肌注1,500IU/头孕马血清(PMS)。每日或隔日上午8—9时,颈静脉穿刺采集血样。分别用放射免疫测定法(RIA)和放射受体分析法(RRA)检测了母牛在自然情期和同期发情前后,血清雌二醇(E_2)、孕酮(P)和 LH 的含量变化。18甲埋植期间,各组母牛 E_2含量都十几倍地高于自然情期(Ⅰ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ组,P<0.01,Ⅱ组P<0.05)。P 含量都低于自然情期,但多数组的差异无统计学上的意义(Ⅰ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ组 P>0.05,Ⅱ组P<0.01)。各组 LH 含量也与自然情期含量差异不显著。发情后第13天以前接受处理的母牛可获得很高的同期发情率和受胎率,而发情第18天后接受处理的母牛同期发情和受胎效果很不理想。总同期发情率为75%,第一情期受胎率为62.5%。本文还对受胎率低的原因和处理方法的改进进行了讨论。
