In this paper, the settlement coefficients of elastic layer of finite depth subjected to unit uniform load are presented.The elastic layer sticks to a rigid substratum.The temperature stresses of foundation beams rested on the elastic layer are studied. The foundation reactive force, shear force and moment of the foundation beam for different depth-width ratios (H/L)are calculated and their results are listed in tables. These tables might be used in engineering design.
