This was so far not yet found in the reported previous experiments although long search for the problem had been done. In addition, "Juan 4" strain of the Derxia genera possessed the ability of ammonia excreting but with less quantity. The amount of ammonia excreted was only 1.18% of the total amount of nitrogen-fixed.

The cultural and morphological characteristics, growth, physiological and biochemical properties of this steain were studied. The sand culture experiments showed that the inoculated wheat seeds with the preperation of this strain achieved good effects. The preperations have applied to the wheat field in 839500mu.
