It is an important problem to give the displacement constraints cor-rectly in the computation with the finite element method.In this papera thorough study of this problem has been made theoretically and the pro-blem of how to give the displacement constraints reasonably is also dis-cussed.Problems in plane stress and axisymmetric stress analyses are des-cribed respectively.Especially,various computing models of connectingrods are detailed.Errors that appeared in the use of excessively shortmodel of connecting rod are studied. In axisymmetric problems,the models such as continuous piston ringand piston are analysed and some conclusions are drawn.Finally,the method of setting the displacement constraints to the pointto which the load is applied is discussed and the problem that one must payattention to while drawing up a computer program has been pointed out.

In this paper,the two flexible manipulators was taken,and derived a Lagrange's equation with elasticity in joint and rotating in vertical plane.The rigid model is gotten if elastic effect is not considered.
