This is one of a series of reports on study of tandem-propeller performance. The report describes the influence of some important parameters of the tandempro-peller on their performance, such parameters including axial spacing ratio, angular spacing, diameter difference between fore and after propellers, pitch distribution of fore and after propellers and its pitch match each other, blade outline and shape of blade sections, etc.The performance charts of two sets of tandem-propeller CLB 4-40-2 and CLB4-55-2 are given. And further, the block diagram for design tandem-propeller with charts using digital computer is given. According to the test results, the comparison of the tandem-propeller with the single conventional B-series propeller of nearly the same disc ratio has shown that, under the condition of optimum diameter themselves and Bp≥4, the efficiency of tandempropeller is a little higher than the conventional propeller and the optimum diameter may be decreased by morethan 4%, however, under the condition of restricted diameter and Bp≥4, the efficiency of tandem-propeller is higher than conventional one and its increment of efficiency is increased when the Taylor's power coefficient Bp increased or Taylor' s speed coefficient 6 decreased.
