Though the pre-chamber stratified-charge combustion system has beenin use for years,its combustion mechanism is not yet fully understood.Ex-perimental studies on pre-chamber stratified-charge combustion processeshave been carried out in a constant volume bomb.By comprehensive ana-lyses of the results obtained,it is found that the combustion processes,inignition and flame propagation,appear in two different patterns.The cha-racteristics and macro effects are discussed in this paper.

A new turbulence intensity simulating method for a stratified charge combustion engine with divided chambers is proposed. It is based on the energy-mass conservation and also takes into account the effects of configuration parameters such as the relative volume ratio and throat area on the turbulence flow. 为解决应用准维模型计算汽油机主副燃烧室分层充气燃烧过程的适用性,根据主副燃烧室中气体流动过程的质量和能量交换关系,并考虑到主副燃烧室相对容积比和喉口截面积等几何结构尺寸的影响因素,提出了湍流强度模拟的新方法.计算结果表明,该湍流强度模拟方法不仅适用于主副燃烧室,而且有利于提高热力模型的计算精度.
