This work was carried out at the Haibei Research Station of Alpine Meadow Ecosystem in Menyuan, Qinghai.The whole materials were collected during 1976-1980.In order to effectively control the rodents, we studied the mathematical models for recovery of the remnant rodent population.The recovery of the number of Plateau pika (Ochotona curzoniae) and Co-mmon Chinese zokor (Myospalax fontanieri) populations after being controlledis fitted well with logistic curve.The recovering time (t) of the remnant redent populations is very directlyproportional to natural response time (tr or 1/r). The recovering time of remn-ant rodent populations after every control measurement can be calculated from:The mathematical model of population dynamics of the remnant rodents after very poisoning of a certain proportion of rodentsis ahown as(When n = 1,2, 3,…year, n-1≤t≤n) The mathematical model of population dynamics of the remrant rodents after every poisoning of a certain number of rodents is shown asThe recovering speeds are quite different between these two rcdent species.According to the computation of mathematical model, the number of pika recovers more rapidly (Table 2 ) while that of zokor recovers rather slowly (Table 3 ).So if only poisoning once a year, the optimum poisonous rates should not be less than 80% for pika and 70% for zokor (Fig. 1 and 3 ).

灭鼠后残鼠种群的恢复研究具有重要意义。为使防治工作更有效,1976—1980年,我们在青海省门源县海北高寒草甸生态系统定位研究站调查了高原鼠兔和中华鼢鼠的种群恢复过程,发现灭鼠后残鼠数量按逻辑斯蒂曲线增长。 残鼠数量恢复时间t与种群返回时间t_r呈正比。灭鼠后数量恢复时间可按下式估计: 每年杀灭种群一定比例,残鼠数量恢复的数学模型如下; 每年杀灭一定数量,残鼠数量恢复的模型如下: 高原鼠兔和中华鼢鼠的残鼠种群恢复速度不同。根据上述数学模型估计,高原鼠兔数量恢复较快,丽中华鼢鼠较慢,因此,其最适灭鼠率也不相同。若每年杀灭一次,对于高原鼠兔,杀灭率必须在80%以上,对于中华鼢鼠,必须在70%以上。

The Bao-Lan Railway passes through the Tenggar Desert for six times, totalling 40 km in length. Especislly in the Shapotou Area, the densely distributed huge sand dunes were pressing on towards the railway bed, the natural condition are very harsh, covered entirely by huge and crowded checkerboardshaped dunes. Therefore, at the time the Bao-Lan Railway line was opened to traffic important questions were how to stabilize the mobile sand dunes on both sides of the railway, how to protect the ensure the railway...

The Bao-Lan Railway passes through the Tenggar Desert for six times, totalling 40 km in length. Therefore, at the time the Bao-Lan Railway line was opened to traffic important questions were how to stabilize the mobile sand dunes on both sides of the railway, how to protect the ensure the railway bed from being covered by shifting sands and how to ensure ther railway remains safe. For this purpose, the Shapotou Desert Research Station was established in the spring of 1956, and since then has been engaged in the studies on the stabilization of sand dunes with vegetation on permanent experimental plots in unirrigated natural conditions, supported by mechanical sand-control measures. As a result of 30 years of practical researches, the Station has initially resolved the following problems which interested the scientific circles and railway departments: the feasibility of sand stabilization by vegetation; the selection of suitable plant species for sand stabilization and their rational arrangement; the effectivenss of different vegetation patterns; and the principle of sand stabilization combined with sand blockage used for establishing the railway protection system. The solution to those problems not only has a significance for the control of the sand damage to the Bao-Lan Railway and provide a sand damage control pattern for railway construction in desert regions of northwest China in future, but also has a significance for the development of semi-desert area in China.

本文研究地区位于腾格里沙漠东南缘,为温带草原化荒漠。包头至兰州铁路六次穿越腾格里沙漠,延长线达40公里。尤以中卫县沙坡头地区自然条件严酷,铁路线两侧全为高大密集的格状流动沙丘。如何固定这段线路两侧流沙,使铁路免遭风沙危害,成为列车运行畅通中极待解决的重大课题。沙坡头沙漠科学研究站经30年(1956-1986年)定位研究和实践,初步解决了以下几个问题: 1.植物固沙的可行性程度; 2.适宜的固定植物种及其合理配置; 3.植物固沙的基本指标; 4.以“固”为主,“固阻”结合的铁路防护体系的可行性方案。 这为我国西北沙漠地区今后铁路建设提供了一个沙害整治模式,在科学上和实践中均有重要意义。
