The major steps taken include increasing thermo-efficiency of crackers, reducting pressure drop due to resistance of coolers in the cracking gas compression section, and improving operation con- ditions for towers in the cold distillation system, etc.. The ethylene industry abroad is obviously inclined to use light feed stock in recent years. It is anticipatod that in 1990 40% of the feedstock for ethylene production will be liquified oil gas.

In this Paper, Ames test, micronucleustest of Peripheral erythrocytes of fish and tera-fogenic examination to the exterior of fish were used. The results showed that micronu-sleus frequency of peripheral erythrocytes of fish from the contaminated Reservoir is 0.71 per 1000, significantly higher than that of the fish from the small lake with cleaning water near the Reservoir (0.15 per 1000);when ethylether extracts equalling to 20 grams fish from the Reservoir were added in each plate, Positive result was obtained...

Therefore, the sewage discharged from a certain ethylene plant is of significant mutagenicity to fish.

本文采用Ames试验、鱼周血微核试验和鱼体外观畸型检查。结果表明:污水库鱼周血微核率为0.71%,明显高于隔坝相邻的清水泡鱼的微核率(0.15%);每皿加入相当20克污水库鱼的乙醚提取物对TA_(98)菌株在S_0活化系统参与下为阳性结果;污水库鱼畸型率为7.9%,明显高于清水泡鱼的畸型率(0.9%)。可见,某乙烯工厂排放的污水对鱼类有明显的致突变作用。

The world production, applications and trade of styrene is described. Suggestions are made for the development of the product in China. They are firstly to increse the production capacity and expand the construction scale:secondly the main process to adopt should be the alkylation of benzene and ethylene to produce ethyl benzene and followed by dehydrogenation. It is better to be carried out in the ethylene plants;thridly styrene-butadiene rubber should be further developed though styrene is consumed at a higher...
