Free and bound sterols of leaves of five mulberry cultivars differing in their susceptibility to small leaf curl disease have been studied.

A new tar leaf spot disease of mulberry tree caused by a hyphomycetous fungus, Myrothecium rorideum Tode ex Fr.was found in mulberry garden of Suzhou Sericultural College in 1981 and later found again at some regions of other provinces. A new tar leaf spot disease of mulberry tree caused by a hyphomycetous fungus, Myrothecium rorideum Tode ex Fr.was found in mulberry garden of Suzhou Sericultural College in 1981 and later found again at some regions of other provinces. Owing to the fungus Myrothecium rorideum as pathogen of woody plant was a new record, its morphology was studied and showed coinciding fundamentally with previous reporters, (?)xcept its conidia had a flute on its centre when examined either with light microscope or with electron microscope being an additional character.In the experiment, the authors found that this fungus could infect 32 species of plants in 18 families. Some of the hosts were very susceptible such as Alternanthera philoxeroides, Broussonetis papyrifera, Cephalanoplos segetum, Ficus carica, Hibiscus mutabilis, Humulus scandens,Lufta cylindrica, Polygonum pertolialum, Solanum nigrum, Ulmus parvifolia, Vitis vinifera.The growth temperature of this fungus was 10-35℃, and its optimum temperature was 28℃. It grew normally at pH 4.0-9.5 and optimally at pH 5.4-8.5.The germination percentage of its conidia was low in water, but increased in liquid media containing peptone, yeast extract or mulberry leaf decoctions. Hyphal and fruitification growth of this fungus was poor on PDA, but grew well in the culture media containing decoctions of soybeen stem or mulberry leaf.

桑漆斑病是桑树上一种新发现的真菌性病害。根据病原菌形态,确定为露湿漆斑菌(Myrothecium rorideum Tode ex Fr.)。该病在江苏、广东、山东等省桑树上均有发现,局部地区为害严重。 M.rorideum的生长温度10—35℃,最适温度28℃;生长pH4.0—9.5,5.4—8.5为、最适pH范围;寄主范围广,本次测定的发病寄主有32种,其中桑科、豆科、葡萄科等植物易感病。水文首次报道了该菌能寄生于某些木本植物。

本文探讨了植物外植体消毒技术与接种污染率的关系.结果表明:在对山楂、桑树、樱桃冬芽、郁金香球茎接种消毒时,采用外值体适当脱水(含水率保持30%左右)、消毒时剥去外被鳞片或表皮、适当延长消毒时间(樱桃冬芽除外)的方法,同时配合其它消毒措施,组织培养污染率可降低至5%以下.此技术对生长分化能力无任何影响,其中外植体剥去鳞片或表皮后进行消毒是减少污染的关键.经几年来多次试验证明,此技术比较可靠.

The germplasm resources of mulberry in Hebei province involve mainly Bigleaf mulberry, white mulberry, Mountain mulberry, Mongolian mulberry and Ghostly mulberry. Their leaves can be fed to silkworms, and besides, they can be used to develop the production of mulberry fruit, to preserve water and soil and to forest barren hills.

河北省桑树种质资源主要有鲁桑、白桑、山桑、蒙桑和鬼桑5种,除桑叶养蚕外,还可用于发展桑果生产,保持水土和绿化荒山。
