Rapidly solidified high temperature aluminum alloy AA8009 (Al-8.9Fe-1.3V-1.7Si) is a kind of lightweight structure materials with high specific strength, high specific stiffness and excellent heat-resistance. It is able to be applied to the aerospace and aircraft industries instead of some of titanium alloys or steels which are usually used at the temperature range of 150~350℃.
Al 8.5Fe 1.1V 1.9Si heat resistant aluminum alloy was prepared by spray forming process. The strengthening phase with size between 50 nm and 100nm in the alloy was studied by TEM. It was found that the phase disperses in the alloy and has spherical morphology.
The flow stress behaviors of 2618 heat resistant aluminum alloy over the strain rate range of 0.01s-1 to ls-1 and the temperature range of 400℃ to 470℃ as well as the deformation degree from 20% to 60% have been studied using a Gleeble-1500 hot simulator.
Based on differential thermal analysis(DTA),optical microscope,the effect of different kinds of homogenization heat treatments performing on microstructures and mechanical properties of a new type heat resistant aluminum alloy was investigated.
Creep of a heat-resistant aluminum alloy in a complex state of stress
The article gives the results of experimental investigations of the creep of heat-resistant aluminum alloy AK4-1 with constant and variable loads, at a temperature of 175 °C and a duration of the tests equal to 100 h.
