The skin of Min exceed in wights to the Harbin white pigs. The difference is highly significant, i. e. capability of lean yield of Min are very low, while the proportion of skin and skeleton is higher than that of the Harbin white. 3. In 15—120 kg period, the allometric equation (y=ax~b)of muscles, fat, bone and skin showed that: Fat growth coefficient.(b) is the highest, followed by muscle and skin, skeleton is the least. But, the growth coefficient (b)of muscle is lower than the Harbin white, the growth coefficient of Min's skin is higher. It is highly significant (p<0.01). 4. Capability of adipose deposition of Min predominate in the abdominaL cavity, i. e. capable deposition; of mensentery and kidney fats was intensive.

Results of this study indicate that there is the highest growth impetus in the loin joint for all three breeds examined. Min Zhu (M) surpassed the Landrace (L) and Sanjiang white (SW) pigs in the growth impetus of forequarter (neck+ shoulder+rib), but with the lowest growth in the loin and hindquarter (ham + leg). The growth impetus of the muscle in hindquarter is most closely related to total muscle in the side, and the ranking of growth coefficients of muescle in each joint is loin>hindquarter>forequarter....

Results of this study indicate that there is the highest growth impetus in the loin joint for all three breeds examined.
