in the female rats, although the estradiol and testosterone levels of the plasma and the E_2/T ratio changed with their estrous cycle, but the mean values of estradiol,testosterone and the E_2/T ratio were 55.4±3.7 pg/ml,51.8±3.1 ng/100 ml and 0.124±0.014 respectively.
(2) Using orthogonal experimental design with orthogonal layout of L16(45), effects of cadmium(0,100,1000,2000μmol/L) and estrous cycle(proestrous,estrous, postestrous, dioestrous)on steroidogenesis in the ovary were studied.
In vivo fast cyclic voltammetry (FCV) was used to investigate dopamine (DA) release fromamygdala (Amy) of female rats in different phases of estrus cycle, ovaricectomized (OVX) rats and malerats. Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) immunohistochemistry was employed to measure the numbers of immunore-active neurons in ventral tegmental area (VTA) of midbrain in the rats.
(2) The results in vitro,showed that the influence of cadmium and the stages of estrus cycle on the contents of E_2 and P of ovary were sigificant and the interaction between them were existing.
Methods:Endometria of mice in the early phase of pregnancy and estrus cycle were collected and divided into 8 study groups,and every group included 10 mice.
The results showed that:① Immunoactive AngⅡ was mainly distributed at luminal and glandular epithelium in rat uterus during estrus cycle, and its density was highest at proestrus, while lowest at diestrus;
These results suggested that AngⅡ and its receptor might be involved in estrus cycle and embryo implantation of rats; and the expression of AngⅡ , AT1R and AT2R was regulated by estrogen and progesterone.
After xenotransplantation, the recovery percentage of oestrou s cycle in EG group was 33.3%. The recovery of oestrous cycle began on day 15.00 ±5.0, while in the PG group they were 16.7% and on day 23.50±6.26. After 2 wee ks xenotransplantation, the survival rate after transplantation in EG and PG gro up was 83.3%, 66.7%, r espectively.
The beginning days of oestrous cycle recovery in β-ME0,β-ME100 groups were(25.20±4.49,23.5±5.79) longer than those of in control group (12.75±1.5),P<0.05.(2)The histological observation of xenografts found follicles in different periods in the survival grafts.
After injection,the average days of oestrous cycle in animals of the experimental group changed from 5.3 to 11.2 d, whereas varied from 4.9 to 5.1 d in the control group.
Conclusion The mouse ovaries can survive the freezing-thawing process, and reestablish the estrum and normal follicular development after autologous transplantation.
Results In the sham operation group, no changes were observed in the estrum and follicular development. All the mice in control group showed normal estrum after operation, the mice in the cryopreservation group resumed estrum after autograft at different time, and the ovaries developed normal follicles.
To test if leptin responsiveness may be regulated we assayed hypothalamic response to leptin during the estrous cycle; when changes in food intake are known to occur.
To fill this gap in our knowledge, we identified and characterized the tissue specific expression of IGFBP-1 to-6 in rat oviducts over the estrous cycle byin situ hybridization and immunocytochemistry.
Results are tentatively explained, suggesting that the variability of the female response to stress during the different phases of the estrus cycle, permitted them to perform differently after chronic cannabis treatment.
1. Various extracts of Zang Hong Hua were studied on isolated horns of uteri of guinea-pigs, rabbits, and dogs, both gravid and non-gravid. 2. The stimulating action of various extracts of Zang Hong Hua occurred in uteri of all animals, whether gravid or not. The excised organs and intact uteri gave similar effects. The mechanism of action was discussed. The effect seems to be both myogenic and neurogenic. 3. When mice were fed a diet containing 0.23-2% Zang Hong Hua powder for three weeks, the duration o...
The effect of chronic starvation on pituitary-gonadal axis was observedby a new procedure of intermittent starvation, i. e. alternative starvationand refeedings. During intermittent starvation the estrous cycle was depressedalmost completely and extirpation of one ovary could not induce hypertrophyof the other. Thus enhanced negative and decreased positive feedback actionsof sex steroids upon gonadotrophin secre tion were indicated duringintermittent starvation.
Total glycosides (TⅡ or TG) of Tripterygium wilfordii (TW) 30 mg/ kg/d was fed to male and female mice for 1~3 months, then the drug was stopped for 3 months and these mice were examined monthly. The results showed that the mean weight and morphologic changes of testis, activity and counts of spermatozoa of male mice were in accord with fertility changes. The results indicated that the drug had a definite and reversible anti-fertile action.Female mice displayed irregular estrual cycles, but the reproductive...
