Results The rate of complications was 12.7% for 1~3 years following survey. There were urethral fistulas 24 cases (8.7%),urethral strictures 6 (2.2%), diverticulums 3 (1.1%), chordees 2 (0.7%).
Methods The clinical data of 191 patients with posterior urethral strictures or distraction defects from January 1990 to January 2006 were analyzed retrospectively.
Posterior urethral strictures is in 31(16%), posterior distraction defects is in 160(84%),of which the length of the distraction defects<3 cm is in 102 (53.4%),and the the length of the distraction defects>3 cm is in 58(30.6%).
后尿道狭窄(尿道连续性尚存)31例(16%); 后尿道完全闭锁160例(84%),其中闭锁段<3 cm 者102例(53.4%),闭锁段>3 cm 者58例(30.6%)。
Methods From 1998 to 1999,17 cases of recurrent urethral stenosis with a stenosis length of 0.8 to 1.5 cm have been treated by transurethral incision or transurethral resection of scar followed by intraluminal brachytherapy with 192 Ir.
Optimal management of the 3-to 6-centimeter anterior urethral stricture
The optimal management of anterior urethral stricture that does not respond to an endoscopic urethrotomy or is found to be unsuitable for excision and anastomotic repair remains controversial.
Furthermore, recently published reports that these materials have been seeded with chondrocytes to create corporal rods for penile prostheses and stents for ureteral and urethral stricture disease are discussed.
The current role of urethrotomy in anterior urethral stricture disease
Individual obstructive conditions including urethral stricture, postsurgical obstruction, primary bladder neck obstruction, pelvic organ prolapse, and neurogenic causes are addressed briefly.
Alternative endourological techniques in the treatment of urethral strictures
In 10 children (12.5%) some complications occurred, of which 3 (3.75%) had fistula and in six (7.5%) meatal or neo-urethral strictures developed.
The mechanism must be similar to the one causing urethral strictures in these patients, namely, low peripheral perfusion during "pump time".
This report deals with experience with the method of transurethral incision of urethral strictures under vision in 547 patients involving 662 internal urethrotomies between Nov.
Transurethral incision of urethral strictures can be recommended as the method of choice for the treatment of urethral strictures.
After transplantation, five patients had urinary tract infection, one had urethral stenosis, two had vesicourethral reflux and one patient had a perinephritic abscess.
Because of its high diagnostic specificity, momentum flux measurement may prove valuable as a screening investigation in male patients with suspected detrusor hyperreflexia or distal urethral stenosis.
The procedure was performed in 36 patients with suspected urethral stenosis.
Other complications were redo for penile deformity or meatal retraction (eight cases, 17%), megalourethra (five cases, 11%), meatal stenosis (two cases, 4%), and urethral stenosis (two cases, 4%).
A boy aged 4.5 years with prune-belly syndrome (PBS) and associated urethral stenosis, oligohydramnios, imperforate anus and vesicosigmoid fustula is described.
