    Objectives To study the wavefront aberrations changes of the complications following laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK)for myopia and myopia astigmatism.Methods A retrospective clinical trial was designed to assess the chances of the wavefront aberration of the complications following LASIK of twenty-nine eyes of twenty-five patients enrolled in this study.The wave front aberrations of complications undergoing LASIK was compared with uncomplications.Coefficients of 35 terms of zemike aberrations were directly obtained from the aberrometer,and RMS of each order of Zemike and RMS of overall wavefront aberrations were analyzed by Madlab.Results On average,BCVA(best corrected vision acuity)was 1.01±0.12 in the uncomplicative group preoperatively,and BCVA was 0.99±0.14 at 3 months postoperatively.BCVA was 1.01±0.09 in the complicative group preoperatively,and BCVA was 0.61±0.24 postoperatively.The preoperative RMS of overall wavefront aberrations was 0.65μm,the postoperative RMS in the uncomplicative group was 1.51μm,the central island group was 6.78μm,the decentered ablative group was 7.94μm,the irregular astigmatism group 9.32μm,the polycentric ablative group was 7.29μm.Conclusions The complications following LASIK may increase markedly the optical wavefront aberrations and affect badly the quality of vision.

    目的 探讨屈光手术后中央岛、偏中心、不规则散光、多中心切削等并发症对眼波阵面像差的影响。方法 进行一项回顾性的临床研究 ,对接受 L ASIK手术术后发生各种并发症的 2 5例患者 (2 9只眼 )的眼波阵面像差进行了评估。采用主观性波阵面像差仪对眼波阵面像差进行了测量与比较。检查结果通过 Madlab软件分析 ,直接获取 35项 Zemike系数及每阶 Zemike系数的 RMS值。结果 无并发症组患者术前最佳矫正视力 (BCVA)是 1.0 1± 0 .12 ,术后 3月 BCVA为 0 .99± 0 .14 ;并发症组患者术前 BCVA是 1.0 2± 0 .0 9,术后 BCVA为 0 .6 1± 0 .2 4。术前眼波阵面像差的 RMS值为 0 .6 5μm ,术后无并发症组为 1.5 1μm;而中央岛组的 RMS值为 6 .78μm ;偏中心组为 7.94μm;不规则散光组为 9.32μm ;多中心切削组为 7.2 9μm。结论  L ASIK术中术后所致的并发症可导致眼波阵面像差数倍的增加 ,严重影响患者术后的视觉质量

    The purpose of the project is to introduce the concept of wavefront aberration and to evaluate its techniques and clinical applications. There has been a great deal of interest recently in wavefront aberration techniques for use in clinical procedures. These techniques can not only be used in refractive surgery to evaluate postsurgical changes in aberrations,but can also be used during refractive surgery as a guide for performing customized ablations to improve visual quality after PRK and LASIK. Additionally,this technique can be employed to evaluate changes in aberrations after wearing different types of contact lenses,or to evaluate changes after cataract surgery,glaucoma surgery or other corneal surgeries.

    Objective Optical aberrations of the human eye degrade the quality of the retinal image and may,therefore,represent one of reasons limiting visual acuity.Measurement of the wavefront aberrations is affected by many factors.Purpose of this study is to assess effect of pupillary dilation and tear film break-up on measurement of the wavefront aberrations.Methods Sixty one eyes of 46 normal subjects who had no ocular diseases except for myopia were included.Wavefront aberrations for central 4mm and 7mm diameter werre measured using the WaveLight WaveFront analyzer(a Tscherning aberrometer).With topical anesthesia of 0.5% dicaine,wavefront aberrations for central 7mm diameter were also measured in sixty eyes of 33 normal subjects following eye opening for 15 seconds.We looked at the Zernike decomposition of wavefront aberratons up to the 6 th. order and compared the RMS of the wavefront aberration for the high order aberrations(3~6 th. order)and sum aberration.Results The RMS of all high order aberration through a 4mm pupil were evenly around zero.RMS 3~6. and RMS h increased 1.98,1.86,1.73,1.46 and 1.85 times respectively through a 7mm pupil compared to a 4mm pupil,especially vertical coma and spherical aberrations.The difference in the RMS of high order aberrations between 7mm and 4mm pupils was statistically significant.The RMS after tear film break-up was higher than that before tear film break-up.The difference in RMS 4.RMS 6 and RMS h was significant.Conclusions High order aberrations increases with increasing of the diameter of the entrance pupil,especially vertical coma and spherical aberrations.Tear film break-up also increases high order aberrations.Pupillary dilation and tear film break-up appear to be important factors increasing high order aberrations of the eye.
