A study has been conducted by the authors of the effects of intercritical heat treat-ment on the formation of austenite, the morphology of microstructure and the mechani-cal properties in 30CrMnNi2A steel with prior martensitic structure. When martensitestructure was heated at a given rate in the temperature range between Ac_1 and Ac_3globular austenite grains were first formed near Ac_1 at prior austenite grain boundaries,while acicular austenite grains were nucleated at the interfaces of martensite laths inthe...

A study has been conducted by the authors of the effects of intercritical heat treat-ment on the formation of austenite, the morphology of microstructure and the mechani-cal properties in 30CrMnNi2A steel with prior martensitic structure. When martensitestructure was heated at a given rate in the temperature range between Ac_1 and Ac_3globular austenite grains were first formed near Ac_1 at prior austenite grain boundaries,while acicular austenite grains were nucleated at the interfaces of martensite laths inthe interior of prior austenite grains. The acicular austenite grains grew to compose afibrous dual phase structure of acicular austenite and acicular ferrite. The vanishing of aci-cular ferrite by completing the transformation resulted in acicular subgrains of aus-tenite which were very unstable owing to the high grain boundary area and thus sub-grains acquiring enough energy grew rapidly, sweeping the other subgrain boundaries,resulting in granular sustenite grains. This shows that acicular austenite is the transi-tional morphology of intercritical heat treatment and it only exists at a definite stageduring the formation of austenite. Through intercritical heat treatment, the size of aus-tenite grains was reduced to ASTM 12~# (approx). The charpy-v-notch impact toughness of steel at room temperature or-120℃after intercritical heat treatment was enhanced about 40% over that under conventionalquench and temper condition. Intercritical heat treatment also delayed the propagationof fatigue cracks. It appears that the merits of IHT of this steel mainly come from the presence of asuitable amount of acicular ferrite combined with grain refinement.

This report investigates the application of the system engineering technics in aircraft industrial process. For this process, a dynamic probability model is constructed in conformity with the particulars of the aircraft industrial process. In order to raise the level of organization and control, a study is made of the effect of this mathematical model in the system engineering optimum and estimate.
