The instantaneous positions of the basic rack cutter can be displayed dynamically during "tooth cutting" with different shapes of tooth generated seen by changing the cutter geometry. This is very useful for investigations of gear parameters, its dangerous cross-sections and tooth cutting.

This article brings forward a general program for "gear tooth generation with interactive graphics". When the number of teeth, modules of gear, modification coefficients and pressure angles of different gears are input into the computer through the terminal key board, the NC graphic instrument and the printer could output respectively the different profiles of gears and the calculated values. This program is able to show dynamically the instantaneous position in the process of manufacturing the gear blank by rack cutters, affording a reference for those engaged in studying the method of gear generating and the theory of gear mate with the help of computers, analysing the main parameters of gears, and considering the gear cutting.

本文提出一个“人机对话生成齿形”的通用程序。通过工作站键盘输入不同齿轮的齿数、模数、变位系数以及压力角,即能由电子计算机控制的绘图仪和打印机分别输出各种轮齿的齿形及计算数值。该程序能动态地显示出“齿条刀具”在对齿轮“坯”加工过程中的瞬时位置,对于运用电子计算机研究范成原理、啮合原理,分析齿轮的各主要参数,研究齿轮的加工有一定的参考作用。对于研究不同参数的轮齿齿形,特别是非标准齿形以及其他国家标准的轮齿齿形具有一定的价值。
