This kind of low detonation velocity explosive is composed of 83%～87% expanded ammonium nitrate,3.0%～4.0% wood powder,2.0～3.0% composite fuel oil,4.0%～5.0% high energetic additives and 6%～8% dilution agent.

Based on oil-absorption rate and oil-exudation area measured for two kinds of ammonium nitrate,it is illustrated the reason for higher oil-absorption rate and lower oil-exudation rate of swelled ammonium nitrate is its special surface structure,in respect of microstructure of fine core.
