This paper describes the characteristcs of integral tempurature criterion that predicts scuffing failure of bevel gears.It also provides the results of scuffingon lubricating oil for aircraft engines and the scuffing temperatures of bevelgears.The integral temperature criterion is applied to verification on a few dozens of bevel gears used for a variety of aircraft on active service,The calculation results are essentially coincident with the practice.

In this paper, the lateral vibration characteristics of two types of bevel gears under normal tooth meshing and rotating condition,and some of effect factors on the vibration characteristics are presented from experimental standpoint.This paper puts emphasis on the experimental investigation of vibration characteristics of a faulty bevel gear and comparing with another thickened and strengthened bevel gear.Experimental results show that both backward and forward travelling wave resonances of bevel gear with two or three nodal diameters can be occurred within the operation speeds of gear and they could cause lumped fracture fault of bevel gear.Some effective factors,such as increase in meshing clearance between driving and driven gears, unbalance of driving shaft of gear,and unbalance of loaded disk connected with driven gear,etc, could increase the vibration amplitude and stress level of bevel gear.

本文用试验和分析方法研究了A、B两种盘形锥齿轮在旋转条件下正常啮合时的振动特性和几种因素对振动特性的影响,并对A型齿轮断块故障作了分析,可供排除此类齿轮成块断裂故障参考。

A simple and convenient method is proposed to measure the travelling wave resonance speeds and dynamic frequencies of bevel gear. It is based on the non-contact acoustic detection through several envelopes of engine at high level of background noise. The experimental results indicate that the method is very easy to operate and its measuring accuracy is quite high.

本文提出一种简便易行的用声测原理实现在发动机多层包容、高噪音的恶劣测量条件下,测量齿轮行波共振转速及动频的机外检测方法。该方法有较高测量精度,并且使用简便。
