Either of the two stresses increased minimum chlorophyll florescence(F0),and decreased maximum chlorophyll fluorescence(Fm),PSⅡprimary chemical efficiency(Fv/Fm)and PSⅡpotential activity(Fv/F0),but did not significantly result in variation in quantum yield of PSⅡ linear electron(ΦPSⅡ) relative to the un-stressed control. POD activity,MDA and Pro contents were significantly raised by drought or salinity.
(2) Un-der different iso-osmotic stresses,the relative elec-trolyte leakage and MDA contents in leaves of three soybean seedlings also increased mostly,the changes in ‘BB52’ and ‘JB185’ under Na+ (without Cl-) stress were more than those under Cl-(without Na+) stress (Fig.2).

Third, under nutrient solution culture, further validation experiment was conducted, the result was identical with the screening experiment under soil culture, phosphorus efficient mutants of CS31018、 CS19973 could endure phosphorus deficient menace under P-deficient condition, and have high potential production under P-sufficient condition, phosphorus inefficient mutant of CS4579 could neither endure phosphorus deficient menace nor obtain high yield.

A new way to estimate the parameters in the progressive stress accelerated life testing
In this article a deficiency in the classical approach is pointed out and a new method for the statistical analysis of life data, especially for electronic products, under progressive stress (voltage)V(t) =Kt is given.
Using the Bayesian method, for certain choices of the prior distribution, several forms of estimators of the parameters in the normal stress Weibull distribution and the inverse power law model are derived.
In particular, when the new shape parameter of the distribution under progressive stress is given (or estimated in advance), the closed forms of these estimators are relatively simple and are numerically accessible on computers.
The correlation of prediction and experiments is very good, and the new criterion is used to predict the yield stresses of an internal single-crystal, Nickel-based superalloy, DD3, which is more accurate than that of Hill's at 760°C.
Residual stresses in coating-based systems, part I: Mechanisms and analytical modeling
The thermo-mechanical integrity of these systems is becoming a major concern and is strongly related to the residual stresses because of the fabrication processes.
In this paper, the sources of the residual stresses in the coating-based systems and the concept of "misfit strain" were briefly reviewed.
Analytical models were developed to predict the residual stresses in multi-layered film structures or coating-based systems using the force and moment balances.
