Aiming at the conglutinate or overlap phenomenon existed among the cells in the actual cell image and in order to eliminate the difficulty of cell image analysis resulted from the cell's conglutination or overlap, we make use of the method of opening operation and valley segmentation in mathematical morphology according to the cell's shape feature, then divided the cell cluster into single cell, which will be convenient for the cell's analysis and recognition.

A new real-time image processing system is described in the paper.
