Through experiments and calculations, the unsafety raised by the dimensional deviation is investigated for the reticulated structures with bolted joints during construction and assembly. Some conclusions are put forward, e.g. the magnitude of initially tensional stresses depends on the magnitude of moments existed by spanners and the maximum initially tensional stresses are controlled by the shear strength of the core pins during assembly. Finally, some suggestions for the construction are also given.
