This paper describes the experimental results of which the concept of plasma cathode is initially applied to the solid cathode plasma torch of heavy power DC arc. Using a 500g tungsten cathode of surface area 6cm 3 mixed with 2% yttrium-oxide, the stable and diffusing discharge 2 ̄3kA on cathode arc root can be realized with arc length in air 100 ̄200mm, arc voltage 100 ̄200V and arc voltage fluctuation less than 5%.

描述了首次将等离子体阴极概念运用到大功率直流大弧流实心阴极等离子体炬的实验结果。用重500g,掺2%氧化钇,表面积为6cm2的钨阴极,实现了2~3kA稳定的扩散型阴极弧根放电,在空气中弧长为100~200mm,弧压100~200V,弧电压波动小于5%。

Based on analysis and measurement,th e arc voltage coefficient and arc current coefficient of MgO electric smelting furnace are given.The conclusion can be used for guiding the design and study of the furnace.

对中钢公司炼钢厂 5 0 t电弧炉炼钢生产实践中出现的冶炼电耗增加的现象进行了研究 ,从电弧炉炼钢供电制度的角度分析了其冶炼电耗增加的原因。研究中应用高精度仪表实测了电气运行参数 ,提出了合理的供电制度。推荐使用合适的工作点 ,采用高档位时 ,弧流不宜过大。建议随着原料条件及系统阻抗的变化 ,对不同的原料结构及系统状态 ,制定合理的供电曲线。生产实践表明 ,采用合理的供电制度可显著降低电耗。
