    Both sectorphotometer and microphotometer analyses were carried out on the Hg spectrum transmitted by papers popularly used as window materials in Chinese homes. The intensity distribution of transmitted radiation, after normal incidence, through samples of nine different kinds of paper have been studied, and the total transmission calculated for various wavelengths.

    以水银灯为光源,正射於纸上,其透射部份,用分光摄影法定量。以分圆光度计(Sectorphotometer)及显微光度计(microphotometer)量出九种窗户纸之紫外线透射性。并实验各种纸之抗断强度及其纤维之构造等,俾得相当之评价。 通常窗户纸对於具有最高生理效用之紫外线(波长2967A.U.)之透射量可居百分之十九至四十一;我国南部之壳片窗亦可透射百分之二十。至於玻璃窗,其透射量则等於零。外国虽有特备之玻璃能透射百分之二十至八十之此种紫外线,但其价值殊昂,不能使其遍普应用,可见两者反不若我国之窗户纸为佳矣。 窗户纸中以平粉连纸透紫外线最多,如将纸上桐,则可视线及紫外线之透射力,皆有可观之增加,同时亦可去潮湿以致易破之影响。倘以普通之豆油油之,则其易於变黄,并减低其紫外线透射力,甚不适宜也。 如欲得较完全之讨论,请参考陈尚义之硕士论文,现存於燕京大学图书馆。

A simple method is presented for determining double bond index of pure unsaturated hydrocarbons, petroleum fractions and other hydrocarbon mixtures based on a correlation of observed refractive index, calculated refrac-tive index, molecular weight and the number of double bonds per molecule. The data neccessary are: (a) mid-boiling point, (b) refractive index at 20℃ for sodium D line, (c) density at 20℃ and (d) weight percent hydrogen of the

    依据在20℃钠D线折光率实测值,在20℃钠D线折光率计算值,分子量及每一分子内所含双键数间之相互关系,推衍得一简易方法,用以测定纯不饱和烃及石分馏份之双键率(Double Bond Index).所需由实验测得之数据为试料之(甲)在20℃钠D线折光率,(乙)在20℃时之密度,(丙)中间沸点(Mid-boiling point),及(丁)含氢重量百分数.用本法测得双键率值,与用尼蒲金(Lipkin),圣金(Sankin)及马丁(Martin)三氏法测得双键率值适相吻合.因此,用本法所测得之双键率,足资用以鉴定石分馏份内所含芳香族烃及烯(?)烃之主要型式.惟需指明者,即在依据本法测得之双键率,用以鉴定石分馏份内所含不饱和烃之主要型式时,必须测定由石分馏份内提出仅含不饱和烃浓缩物之双键率.

    Sodium di-n-butyl naphthalene sulfonate was prepared from n-butyl al-cohol, naphthalene and fuming sulfuric acid. Di-isoamyl naphthalene sul-fonate was prepared similarly. Their wetting properties were tested by the modified Draves method. Dibutyl naphthalene sulfonate was found to be avaluable wetting agent and could be made from cheap raw materials.

    本文提供二正丁基萘磺酸钠及二异戊基萘磺酸钠之制备方法.前者可从正丁醇、萘、及发烟硫酸制得,后者可用异戊醇代替正丁醇.此两种萘磺酸钠之浸湿作用会用与Draves法相似之方法加以测定,并与土耳其红之浸湿作用相比较.根据实验之结果,知二正丁基萘磺酸钠之浸湿力较土耳其红为高,乃良好之浸湿剂;但二异戊基萘磺酸钠之浸湿力并不较土耳其红为高.
