This paper tries to put forth some ideas about the classification, principle and evaluation system of the land resources through the tantative fied survey of the Qingvi River Basin. In the classification of the types of land resources, the practical conditions of the hills objects to the independent graphical formation of each area, so the combination method is suggested. How tp evaluate theproductivity of land is also stated, along with the classification of genus, unit and type in line with the evaluation principle in determining the items for evaluation and quotients for grading. In the end, Ya'an County is taken as an example where the structure of land resources is specifically evaluated and the orientation and measures of reformation and application worked out.
