In 1989, canine coronavirus infection broke out on two police dog bred and trained farms of east China,of which 158 dogs were sick,85 dogs died,the total morbidity being 27% C 158/589 ) and the one to five months old dogs' infection rate and lethality rate being 88.5% (130/152 ) and 65.4% (85/130) , respectively.
