The author stressed that the west China must develop the new and high-tech industry, green industry, tourism as the regional supporting sectors, accelerate the exploitation of the natural resources with high regional comparative advantages, propel the industrialization of agriculture and coordinate the relationship between light industry and heavy industry, industrial structure of production value and industrial structure of employment. Thus, the regional economy with the characteristics of the west China and strong contest advantage can be set up.
