The fact that effect of fuel quality on motor vehicle exhaust emission is very great has been proved by research and highly valued all over the world. Anti-knock additive tetraethyl lead,vapor pressure,cetane number and content of aromatic hydrocarbon,ethylenes,sulfur and oxides respectively in the motor fuel are more detailedly analysed in regard to their effect on motor vehicle exhaust emission. Further development tendency of fuel quality is briefly described.
