In numerical simulation of oilfield exploration, the software can be applied to develop faulting model structural model,reservoir rock model and fluid model, followed by the final petroleum reservoir model that is the most coincident with actual situations, providing proper and reliable geologic parameters field, increasing accuracies of the simulation and prediction, and improving the levels of comprehensive reservoir management.
In this article, we describe the main characters of VTK(Visualization Toolkit) based on dissecting the three dimension visualization method of reservoir model and put forward that VTK can be used to realize the model.

According to the rock physics model in oilfield and Gassmann equations, the relation curve of compresional-to-shear velocity versus oil saturation is gained, and the double reservoir model designed By the P-P wave and P-S converted wave reflection coefficients can be obtained by solving the linear equations set for reflection and transmission coefficients on the interface of VTI medium.
The construction of the Model-based Yellow River, which includes the Loess Plateau model, reservoir model, river course model and estuary model, will directly formulate treatment and development schemes for the Yellow River. And on the other hand, it will serve as physical parameter for the Digital Yellow River.
According to the overall objective of the project, the decided overall tasks are as follows: To establish a system of Loess Plateau model, reservoir model, river channel model and estuary model with all functions and higher simulation precision. To establish an automatic testing and controlling system of high modernization, advanced technology and serving as a bridge of joint operation of "three Yellow Rivers" and to establish related infrastructures, such as an expandable and reasonable layout testing hall.
