The influences of synthetic mode and characters of initial compacts (density, particle size and diluent amount) on the combustion synthesis of NiAl and Ni_3Al have been investigated. The results have shown, that NiAl and Ni_3Al intermetallic compounds can be synthesized smoothly by self-reaction heat explosion process. However, Ni_3Al was synthesized with low conversion rate in case of the particle size over 100μm and without pure Ni_3Al products in case of a diluent amount 30wt%.The characters of initial...

The influences of synthetic mode and characters of initial compacts (density, particle size and diluent amount) on the combustion synthesis of NiAl and Ni_3Al have been investigated. The results have shown, that NiAl and Ni_3Al intermetallic compounds can be synthesized smoothly by self-reaction heat explosion process. However, Ni_3Al was synthesized with low conversion rate in case of the particle size over 100μm and without pure Ni_3Al products in case of a diluent amount 30wt%.The characters of initial compacts hardly influences the synthesis of NiAl. The synthetic ignition temperature T_(ig) remaines constant regardless of processing parameters. The synthesis temperature T_c decreases with the increase of particle size and diluent amount.

研究了合成方式和料坯的初始特征对NiAl、Ni_3Al无压自反应燃烧合成的影响。结果表明,采用自反应热爆工艺可以顺利地合成NiAlNi_3Al,但当原料粒度大于100μm时,Ni_3Al合成转化率不高。同时,稀释剂渗加量大于30wt%时,也不能得到纯净的Ni_3Al产品。坯料的初始特征对NiAl合成结果影响不大。但合成温度T_c随粒度增大及稀释剂渗量增加而下降。

The research trend of sintering techniques for fine structural ceramics in some foreign countries is described with emphasis on several sintering methods developed in recent vears, such as the methods of microwave, laser, self-propagating high temperature synthesis or combustion synthesis, low temperature presureless sintering as well as neutron irradiation sintering at very temperature etc. The preparations and properties of ceramic materials using the above new techniques are also presented.
