In this paper, the creeping phenomenon of the reverse current of transistors and the sensitivity of thermistors are studied with regard to their applications as a temperature sensing element for the thermostat. The transient behavior of the thermostat is analyzed approximately and methods for measuring the time constants of the thermostat are described. The new method is designed to overcome the many drawbacks of the conventional thermistor compensation method. The method is based on the established facts that the temperature dependence of the emitter current of a triode operating with a biasing circuit configuration as shown in Fig. 2 can be precisely determined, and that the dependence relation is solely determined by the room temperature quiescent current I(?) and, dominantly, the value of RE chosen (see Fig. 2). It then follows that the law of variation of r(?) = KT/qI(?) with T can be put under the designer's control and can be devised to meet various temperature sensitivity specifications by suitably choosing I(?) and RE. .Therefore, the then compliant r, can be used in place of the thermistors to meet the requirement of temperature compensation. The mathematical model (a transcendental equation) for computing the operating performance of the eb-junction compensation method is given. A set of pilot test data and the computed results of a 90-100 dB I. F. amplifier used in a radar receiver are also given. The experimental data support the validity of the new method and also evidence that the new method is really inviting, since the circuit can be designed to well fit the required specifications by numerical computation in place of the relatively blind trial-and-error"design"procedure used when employing thermistors, and since the possibility that thermistor compensation may become inoperative during the transient interval when the temperature of the cirouit abruptly changes, can be eliminated. The circuit derives this merit from the fact that the seat of gain variation, the temperature sensing point and the location of the compensation mechanism, are all situated at the same point, the eb-junction. The temperature range of effective compensation is wider than that obtainable by the conventional thermistor method, as demonstrated.

对晶体管线性电路增益的温度敏感性,目前大多采用热敏电阻来作温度补偿。本文针对热敏电阻补偿法存在的种种不可克服的缺点,提出称之为e-b结补偿的方法。这个方法基于控制e结动态电阻r_e的热敏特性,从而可以利用r_e本身来代替外接热敏电阻,达到温度补偿的目的。 本文导出了控制r_e热敏特性的数学模型(为一超越方程),给出我们在某雷达中放上的一个实际使用例子的计算数据,结果说明这个方法是行之有效的。
