This paper discusses the extra-high speed FFT processing system designed by us with TMS320C25 microprocessor and TMC2310 vector signal processor. In this system, the TMS320C25 and TMC2310 are configured as master-slave construction, the system fully exploits the characteristics of TMS320C25 and TMC2310, and has a good ability of programming. By use of TMS320C25 as a master controlling CPU, and the data RAM of TMC2310 are constructed as bank-switching mode, the system can finish FFT processing...

This paper discusses the extra-high speed FFT processing system designed by us with TMS320C25 microprocessor and TMC2310 vector signal processor. In this system, the TMS320C25 and TMC2310 are configured as master-slave construction, the system fully exploits the characteristics of TMS320C25 and TMC2310, and has a good ability of programming. By use of TMS320C25 as a master controlling CPU, and the data RAM of TMC2310 are constructed as bank-switching mode, the system can finish FFT processing continuously. With this system, 128 complex point FFT can be finished in 53μs, and 1024 complex point FFT in 514μs. Compared with TMS320C30 and TMS320C25, this speed is seven times and twenty times of theirs respectively.

本文介绍了用TMS320C25微处理器和高速矢量处理器TMC2310所设计的超高速可编程FFT处理系统。设计中采用TMS320C25和TMC2310构成主从结构,充分发挥这两种高速处理器的特点,使系统具有灵活的可编程控制能力。采用TMS320C25作为主控CPU,TMC2310的外围存储器设计成乒乓结构,可以使系统实现连续的FFT处理。该系统可以在53μs内完成128复数点FFT运算,在514μs内完成1024复数点FFT运算。这一速度指标此单片TMS320C30快7倍、比单片TMS320C25快20倍。

With the increased exploitation of computer and development of real-time control systern,there is a great need for extremely-high reliability computer system.Examples of such systems include aeronautical and aerospace control,telephone-switching,rail-way transport control,a subtle error will come to disaster results.A computer system to meet high-reliability requirement is designed,and the principles of system design,hardware/software architecture are introduced.

The memory subsystem design in microprocessor system severely effects on the performance of whole system, especially, while the main frequency of the processor is becoming more higher. A memory subsystem detailed design scheme based on i860 tnicroprocessor is illustrated in this paper, and several crucial issues are discussed. The design scheme would be useful to other high performance RISC system design.
