The drag reduction of plate with the low surface energy coatings have been studied in a water tunnel. We investigated the tensile strength of. the bond between water and coating materials. The results are compared with measured previously on a Al alloy plate. Large difference are formed between Al alloy plate and plate with the low surface energy coatings,the drag of the flat plate model showed that the low surface energy coatings models were capable of reduction drag (18-30%) in a certain range of speeds....

The effects of some parameters on plate drag reduction in analysised and discussed, such as surface roughness, plate model thickness and surface energy.

平板表面上涂覆一层低表面能疏水性的涂层,在循环式水筒中U≤9米/秒的低速下,可使平板的阻力下降18~30%左右。而高速时,涂层表面的粗糙度和涂层平板的形阻抵消了一部分或全部分由于低的涂层与水界面间的相互作用力而引起的摩阻下降。低表面能涂层的低表面能疏水性质,使平板的湍流边界层增厚和层流向湍流转捩点的后移,造成了平板阻力的降低。
