Various factors of the oxidation reaction were studied, and the optimum conditions were determined as follows: reaction temperature 010 ℃, using HOCH 2CH 2OCH 2CH 3 as solvent, mole ratio of 2 (2,4 dichlorophenyl) 4,5 diphenylimidazole to K 3[Fe(CN) 6]) = 1∶2.5, and reation time 4 h. The yield of tittle compound is 84.5% 85.6 % (based on 2,4 dichlorobenaldehyds).
