Basic experiments are performed to investigate EHD(Electrohydrodynamics) enhancement of boiling heat transfer for R-123 in a vertical tube using the cylindrical-rod and flat bar electrodes.The test rig consists of a vertical mounted tube-in-tube heat exchanger with hot water flowing in the outer tube and the test refrigerant flowing in the inner one in which two electrodes are mounted respectively.Electric field strength ranges from 0 to 2.133 MV/m,and heat flux ranges from 1.5 to 10 kW/m~2.Uncertainty...

Basic experiments are performed to investigate EHD(Electrohydrodynamics) enhancement of boiling heat transfer for R-123 in a vertical tube using the cylindrical-rod and flat bar electrodes.The test rig consists of a vertical mounted tube-in-tube heat exchanger with hot water flowing in the outer tube and the test refrigerant flowing in the inner one in which two electrodes are mounted respectively.Electric field strength ranges from 0 to 2.133 MV/m,and heat flux ranges from 1.5 to 10 kW/m~2.Uncertainty of the heat transfer coefficients is ±9.7%,and that of the enhancement factors is ±12.2%.It is demonstrated that the maximum enhancement factors of two electrodes are about the same,but the average electric field strength and the energy consumption at which the maximum enhancement factors occurr for the flat bar electrode are lower than those of the cylindrical-rod electrode.The experimental phenomena are analyzed and discussed in view of the effect of electric field on growth rate,departure and movement behaviors of bubbles.

以R-123为工质,采用带状电极和圆柱电极研究了电极形状对电水动力学(EHD)强化垂直管内核沸腾换热的影响。试验换热管为垂直套管式,外层为加热水路,内层为工质回路,中心布置着电极。电场强度范围为0~2.133 MV/m,热流密度范围为1.5~10.0 kW/m2,换热系数的误差为±9.7%;相应的强化因数的误差为±12.2%。结果表明:带状电极和圆柱电极的最大强化效果基本相同,但带状电极达到最大强化效果时所需要施加的平均电场强度和能耗低于圆柱电极,这对于工程实际应用具有重要的意义。从外加电场影响汽泡的成长、跃离和运动规律的角度对试验结果进行了初步的分析。
