It suggested that ventricular tachycardia was possibly due to the sympathetic nerves. Junctional arrhythmia was able to be blocked by admininstration of atropine. Sino-bradycardia could be blocked by atropine, and section of vagus nerves. It suggested that both of these types of arrhythmia would be evoked by vagus nerves. J point declined could not be prevented by atropine, propranolol, and was not able to be abolished by secion of vagus nerves. Either, however, it was able to be blocked by transection of the cervical cord. It showed that J point declined was probably elicited by the adrenergic a receptor. The tonic cardiac sympathetic, and vagus discharges were observed. The normal cardiac function is accomplished, under the interaction of sympathietc and vagus effects. Either of them was hyperfunction, or hypofunction may elicite various arrhythmias.

On the model of rat's endotoxic shock (0.8 mg/100g i.p) treatment with fructose 1,6-diphos-phate (FDP) (50 mg/100g i.v) significantly decreased the shocked animals' mortality, improved themetabolic acidosis and the inhibition of cardiac function, inhibited the generation of lipid peroxida-tion product, and relieved the tissue damage. On the Langendorff's anoxic perfusion model ofisolated rat heart, perfusion with FDP (5 mM) significantly strengthened the resistant capacity ofmyocardium to anoxia, and alleviated myocardial anoxic-reoxygenation damage. FDP as a substrate ofhigh energy and metabolic regulator stimulates anaerobic glycolysis, and decreases tissue oxygenconsumption in a compensatory way, and thus enhances the tolerance of the body to ischemia andanoxia. It is obvious that treatment with FDP is beneficial for severe shock or myocardial ischemiaand anoxia.
