Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and enzymatic determination in vitro were used to demonstrate the relationship between hydrolase activity and resistance. The results are briefly stated as follows:(1) The earboxylesterase activity were considerably stronger in the resistant strain than in the susceptible strain. The decrease of Dipterex-resistance in the resistant strain reared in an insecticide-free environment was accompanied by a corresponding drop in earboxylesterase activity, and the earboxylesterase activity in the resistant strain increased with the development of Dipterex-resistance.(2) Esterase zymograms from polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis revealed both strains had similar patterns except the E8 band which was much more intense in the resistant than in the susceptible strain, as judged by its hydrolysis of α-and β-naphthyl acetate. The results of eleetrophoresis scanning showed earboxylesterase increase mainly resided in this band. This band can also be found in the F1 strain (R × S) but the activity is less than in the resistant strain, which was in line with the decrease of resistance in the F1 strain.(3) No difference was observed in phosphatase and cholinesterase, not only in enzymatic determination in vitro but also in the esterase zymograms. The inhibition of cholinesterase of both strains by Dipterex and DDVP was similar.

Seventeen pyrethroids were synthesized from thirteen pyrethroid acids and 4-methoxymethylbenzyl alcohol and their α-cyano-derivative.By analogous procedure,twenty two 3-phenoxybenzyl esters and their α-cyano derivatives wore also prepared for comparison.All the newly synthesized esters were evaluated biologically against susceptible strain of mosquitoes (larva and adult), houseflies and German cockroaches.The following generalization can be made: 4-Methoxymothylbenzyl esters possess almost the same potency as well known 3-phenoxybenzyl esters.Their killing effect is slightly lower, while the knockdown effect against housefly is even better.Therefore, 4-methoxymethylbenzyl alcohol is proved to be an effective alcohol component for synthetic pyrethroid. The killing effect of a-cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl esters is enhanced, but the change of knockdown effect is not remarkable, on the contrary, the potency of a-cyano-4-methoxymethylbenzyl esters is decreased. Among these new pyrethroids, three 4-methoxymethylbenzyl esters are found to be superior to bioallethrin in some respects and one of them is suitable as an active ingredie-nt for mosquito coils.

用十三种拟除虫菊酸合成了4-甲氧甲基苄基拟除虫菊酯及其α-氰基衍生物共十七种.为作比较,用类似的方法合成了3-苯氧基苄基拟除虫菊酯及其α-氰基衍生物共二十二种.对所有合成的酯用敏感系的蚊(幼虫及成虫),家蝇和(虫非)蠊作了生物活性测试.测试的结果显示: 4-甲氧甲基苄酯与著名的3-苯氧基苄酯对昆虫的生物活性互有上下,基本相当.前者的致死作用略低于后者,而对家蝇的击倒效果却优于后者.所以4-甲氧甲基苄醇可有效地作为合成拟除虫菊酯的醇组分. 3-苯氧基苄醇引上α-氰基后,其酯的致死作用得到增强,但其击倒作用变化却并不显著.而4-甲氧甲基苄醇引上α-氰基后,其酯的药效降低. 在所有新合成的拟除虫菊酯中,有三种4-甲氧甲基苄酯在所测定的生物活性方面优于生物烯丙菊酯,其中之一还具有良好的熏蒸效果,适用于蚊香,可代替天然除虫菊浸膏.
