The DCB model is an universal model often used in Dynamic FractureMechanics. Particularly, it has found wide application in experimental researchand numerical analysis of the dynamic crack propagation and arrest. To theauthor's best knowledge, there is no paper available in the open literature con-cerning dynamic crack initiation using this model and the dynamic response ofthis model under the step loading. The contributions of this paper are as follows: (1) The dynamic stress intensity factor of DCB model with differentcrack lengths are calculated under the step loading by using the distorted iso-parametric element method. (2) The pin displacement, the dynamic stress intensity factor and dynamicenergy release rate are formulated approximately. (3) A simple and available method to determine the initial dynamicfracture toughness by using the DCB model is given. (4) This paper points out that the bending criterion of crack propagationgiven by Bilek and Burns [9] holds true only if the crack length is much grea-ter than the height of DCB model.

Abstract In this paper,the large displacement stabilily behavior of two well known domes subjected to dynamic loads are examined by the geometrically nonlinear finite element method based on the updated lagrangian Coordinate.Three types of time dependent loading cases are considered,namely,step load and sinusoidal load of infinite duration and triangular load of finite duration.In the numerical analysis,the Newmark method is used to solve the nonlinear equation of motion.

本文利用非线性有限元方法,对两个网壳的动力稳定性能进行了分析。在分析过程中,分别考虑了突加阶跃荷载、简谐变化荷载及三角形脉冲荷载。对于简谐变化荷载及三角形脉冲荷载,还讨论了振动周期及脉冲持续时段对网壳临界荷载的影响。

In this paper,the elastic dynamic buckling problem of a finite length perfect barsubjected to axial step load is studied. The buckling problem of the bar is converted to a bifurca-tion problem caused by propagation of axial stress wave,and the reflective effect of stress wave isconsidered. Thecritical conditions of bifurcation is given and the example of computation is givenalso. At the end,the effects of step load and impulse load on the dynamic buckling of the bar aredisscussed.

研究了有限长理想直杆受阶跃载荷作用的弹性动力屈曲问题。将直杆的屈问题归结为由轴向应力波传播而导致的杆的分叉问题,并考虑了应力波反射的影响。给出了分叉发生的临界条件并对具体实例进行了计算。最后对阶跃载荷及脉冲载荷对杆的动力屈曲的影响进行了讨论。
